MacriumReflect8 Cloned system drive to an SSD won't boot W10Pro
I created a clone of an M.2 PCIe NVMe 512GB SSD (boot drive C ) containing a Windows 10 Pro OS on my ASUS Laptop to a WD_Black M.2 PCIe NVME 1T SSD in an enclosure attached by a new USB cable to my Laptop using Macrium Reflect 8. All indications from MR showed no problem and a successful clone. I had formatted the drive from its RAW state to a standard partition covering the entire capacity of the new drive prior to attempting the clone. Using the BIOS boot loader I instructed the Laptop to boot from the new drive in the enclosure. It failed to start. There was nothing wrong with the old drive or the windows installation. I am using the Laptop and Windows 10 Pro, version 21H2 Build # 19044.1387 at this very moment to write this note. Has anyone got a clue as to why I cannot boot from the new cloned drive or if there is any way I can cause it to work. Thanks.
