    Hi @bnthomason

Let me not make you gloomy further.

To better understand your problem please provide the following info.

    1. Your PC is functional. Yes/no
    2. Your 4TB drive is an internal drive on your desktop. Yes/ no
    3. Your 4TB drive is an external drive. Yes/no
    4. Please explain how exactly you partitioned your drive step by step. Assume I am a noob. I have a 4TB drive with a drive letter D. Now I want to create a 2TB partition. How do I go about it aka how exactly you did it.
    5. Post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management showing your erstwhile 4TB drive. How to Post a Screenshot of Disk Management
    6. If you have MiniTool Partition Wizard installed,, post a screenshot of how your D drive looks in it - the very first screen that appears when you launch it.
    7. If you do not have MiniTool Partition Wizard installed, please download, install, and run Minitool Partition Wizard 9.1 ( Old version). Post a screenshot of the first screen that appears when launched. ( If during installation, it notifies a newer version is available, say No and stick with v9.1.) Download MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition 9.1 for windows - Filepuma.com

We are actually in the investigative process to ascertain whether there is any possibility of retreiving any data..The cardinal rule in Data recovery is that you should not write anything to the drive. By partitioning the drive and altering the partition structure you have reduced your chances of data recovery almost next to nil. In any case we shall attempt and try to recover the partitions. If we succeed well and good. If we dont, well - that is it.
