Best Macrium Reflect for a technician?

I'm a computer repair technician and would like to buy some good imaging and backing up program.
I was thinking of getting Macrium Reflect, but I was shocked to see the Technician version for $580!.

Do I need to pay that to backup and restore my customer's PCs?
Would the free or some cheaper version allow me to do my job?

    Any opinions much appreciated.

    Hello Frank,

Try the cheapest workstation version free (try now links at the bottom) and work your way up if necessary/doesn't suit you:

It is a question of licencing. The free version can be used for commercial use albeit limited. In the end, if you help a customer install the free version and back it up, and they keep the backup, then I do not see you have violated and terms and conditions. If on the other hand, you are storing copies that you can recover to a user as a service, you would probably be contravening the licence conditions. You could call Macrium and tell them what your usage is.

You can do image backups totally free using Windows FFU tool if all you need is a full backup and restoring to a drive of same or larger capacity.

Amazing answer. I'll check Acronis and these FFU and WIM tools too. Super-Thanks!
