    'need to' and 'like to' restore are two different things. With all my testing of different software and OS versions the rapid delta restore make life a lot simpler (and quicker).

    What are the real observable advantages of the paid version vs free?

    I know incremental and delta are added, and Image Guardian...and you've then the right to use their forum...

    I've other solutions for file backup, for example...

    Thanks!
    I support them. I have a paid version and a freeware version on another PC.
    If some do not support, the free versions may go away. We all like freeware but they have to be supported.

    I needed only 2 licenses, but got the 4 pack since it's only 2¢ more. Now even my Insider machines have the Home Edition.

    I get the impression from what I've read that other programs offer more flexible options for file backup.
    Rapid Delta Restore is fantastic. Basically, if you do a restore, Reflect looks at what is on drive and restores image by difference. If you have only made modest changes, you can restore differences in less than 30 seconds.

    I use it instead of restore points.

    If I am going to install a program, I make an incremental image backup first, make change, test it, and if not happy I roll back by restoring the incremental backup. That way, there is no need to to clear up any residual detritus.

    The Revo Uninstaller 4 Portable @ $10.79 is a better option to have IMO as it can be used on more than one computer, whilst the setup option @ $8.99 can only be installed in one pc!

    From Revo Uninstaller web page;
    What is the difference between Setup and Portable versions?

    Revo Uninstaller Pro Portable is a non-installable version of Revo Uninstaller Pro that does not store any information in Windows Registry and can be used on removable drives.
    The licensing of Revo Uninstaller Pro Portable is per user, not per computer. In terms of functionality both versions of Revo Uninstaller Pro are identical.
    The portable version must be activated after being downloaded, in order to work, as it doesn't have trial period.
    Please note that the portable version is not designed to be activated separately on each computer, on which it will be used.
    It is designed to be activated once, then moved to a USB flash drive, and used directly from there on any computer.
