Restoring System Image with Macrium Reflect

I understand that at some point soon Microsoft will be phasing out the System Image function from Windows. Therefore I am looking at trying to do a System Image backup using Macrium Reflect 7.

Just one question (and I hope I'm not being too na´ve here) - If my Win 10 system had crashed and I needed to restore the Macrium image that I have made onto my external hard drive, how would I get into Macrium if my Windows 10 was not booting up as I understood that I would need to be in Macrium to start the Restore procedure, no???

I am running the latest update version of Windows 10 Home

You would use the Macrium Reflect bootable Rescue Media.
Here's the main tutorial and a quick reference guide as well...

Lastly, you shouldn't be using Window's backup. Even MS recommends against it.

Small query - I want to close down a couple of threads on Tenforums as I got good advice. However, it's not very clear how I bring up a list of previous threads I posted. So, how??

Open your own profile. On the left under your avatar you'll see something like started threads, and something posts.
    Just click on those.

It is still in win11 last time I looked. So is xcopy all these years after MS announced its imminent demise.

Yes, still included - but probably more to support restoring legacy backups rather than creating new ones. Microsoft have said DON'T USE IT for at least the past four years.
