Restoring System Image with Macrium Reflect

I understand that at some point soon Microsoft will be phasing out the System Image function from Windows. Therefore I am looking at trying to do a System Image backup using Macrium Reflect 7.

Just one question (and I hope I'm not being too naïve here) - If my Win 10 system had crashed and I needed to restore the Macrium image that I have made onto my external hard drive, how would I get into Macrium if my Windows 10 was not booting up as I understood that I would need to be in Macrium to start the Restore procedure, no???

I am running the latest update version of Windows 10 Home

You would use the Macrium Reflect bootable Rescue Media.
Here's the main tutorial and a quick reference guide as well...

Lastly, you shouldn't be using Window's backup. Even MS recommends against it.

Small query - I want to close down a couple of threads on Tenforums as I got good advice. However, it's not very clear how I bring up a list of previous threads I posted. So, how??

Open your own profile. On the left under your avatar you'll see something like started threads, and something posts.
    Just click on those.

At the bottom of the page in topics you started... there's a "Mark as Solved" button.

Yes, still included - but probably more to support restoring legacy backups rather than creating new ones. Microsoft have said DON'T USE IT for at least the past four years.

We recommend that users use full-disk backup solutions from other vendors.
