I Need System Restore Point Again

Hi I am need of some advice please? Something Got my PC yesterday I have have had white screens and lock Up jumping Pointer and and stuck hourglass hand Busy on the word Doc I just closed out of ?
(Pretty good after a Clean Install 4 weeks ago heh?)
So I went for my System restore points first' I had 3 come up, they all were on the Toshiba EX HDD (F "Back-up" from the the Clean Install' so I was going to try the 19-09-2021 choice second of three which was the date before the Star Wars attack on my PC' Klaxton's, sirens, screen flashes a blue window Picture on off, a loud melodious Doomsday voice saying warning warning you have been attacked blah blah do not turn off your computer or else! I could not close out from the noise or exit there was no response" So I shut my PC down, that was last Friday
Problem I have now is (apart from the Virus ) is I cannot getr back to where I was this Morning at Stem Restore Menu Choices it's gone and I have tried Control Panel and Setting and no way can I find it I have a screen shot if I can get back to that point I can attack this virus if that's what it is could you also advise re where to post Virus info too so I can get help to remove it please and or it may help someone else if it i a virus Okay thank you I A P Regards Dasha

That sounds as if they are on a separate disk and not related to your current installation, and thus quite irrelevant- and if you were able to make use of them somehow, actually dangerous. And indeed it seems you've damaged your O/S.

You may have noticed how often the regular and routine use of disk imaging is endlessly recommended by members, starting as early as you can- shortly after a clean install with your first image. System restore usefully complements disk imaging. They are quite different things.

If you've followed this excellent advice, please try restoring your O/S from a suitable image.

Otherwise, it's a clean install.

I'm wondering why you didn't initially use a restore point in the normal way?


If you didn't have restore points applicable to your current O/S, you can have one created on a schedule (tutorial available to help you set this up). Here are my daily restore points:

A system restore point probably will not remove a virus.

As you are only 4 weeks from a clean install, you should clean install again.

Thanks to U all for your help I managed to find the System Restores again and One of those System Restores in that List was a "System Restore Picture, Same day, Date & Time so I will give it a try there was also a Standard System Restores among the List
I assume that was Backed to the Ex HDD which is how it was set, If this doesn't work I will just have to do another C/Ins, I still don't know how, or why I was zapped I had Malbytes and W D and neither found or recorded any mischief, I also ran "RKill" all clear the only issue is when I copy to ClipDiary as it happening the Pointer zig zag's all over the ClipDiary List for about 3 second then all is well when the copying finishes it's still again. You downloaded something with a Nasty, that`s the only way they can get on your PC.

You need to start making Disk images.
