Thank so much for this! It's nice to know that I might be able to make more image backups if it will be just half the size. I might skip on making partition part. Too advanced for me hehe

Thanks so much for your help

Even the partitioning is easy. Use Minitool Partition Wizard (free)

Just think of partitions like... different drawers in a file cabinet.
Inside each drawer, you can have different folders, to keep things sorted.
Each drawer in the file cabinet has it's own "letter" to keep the drawers sorted.

    In computer speak....

Each partition will have it's own drive letter. On each partition you can have folders, and even folders in folders, in folders, etc., to keep things sorted.

In the picture above.... this is what is in the 1st partition....

And here is some of what's in my 000 Windows 10 x64 PROGS folder.

I've been collecting "stuff" for.... years. You have to have some way to sort it and keep track of where you put things.
Some folks will have a neater system, some don't have any system, and some are in between.
You have to come up with your own system.

Even with dedicated software partitioning still spooks me. Hehe! I guess I'll read more into this and see if I can fully understand it first.

I use scheduled Reflect backups to another partition on the single SSD drive on one of my laptops. However, I also back it up to an external USB drive.
