MR, AOMEI, EaseUS, and many more, to some degree, allow one to cherry-pick folders and files from within images.
Assuming you mean Macrium Reflect, file and folder backup is only in the paid version. Frankly, I never use it, and never really saw the point. After all, you can do pretty much the same in effect using File Explore and creating a zip file.

I think Roland means that if you've made an image (with any of those), you can open it (in any of those) and pick files or folders to copy from it (the image) to any location you choose.

I think the idea is just that once you've made an image there is complete access to it without having to restore it.

Yeah on re-reading it I agree but my point stands for backup of files and folders with any imaging tool. To me that comes into the category of "A solution to a problem I never had" LOL.

Sorry if this has already been addressed. I have had Aomei for sometime. I set up a system backup to run regularly and a data backup that does and incremental on a partition.

For some reason about six -eight months ago it stopped working I keep getting a 4101 error message. Upon further investigation, I discovered that the destination file is invalid. For some reason Google Drive has replaced the drive letter for my removable harddisk--what was once the destination 'H" has now become Google Drive and the removable is now "I".

But Aomei won't give me the option to change the destination drive. I get an error message that "The target path currently cannot be modified"

Can anyone tell me how to modify the destination or do I have to recreate my backups?

Most items are changeable on my Aomei Backupper but I use the Pro version and even that will sometimes not allow you to change some items

It may be a better Idea to reassign the google drive - drive letter, and then you can change the backup drive to the old letter

Hi all. I am trying out the Aomei Backupper Standard, and I have a question. While doing the system backup, Aomei shows the percentage being processed on the spinning circle. It gets to around 65% then suddenly jumps to around 97% and finishes from there. Is this normal?

Yes, it can appear to change speed. The Pro version offers more functions, including mounting the backup image.
If you look under the Tools tab see if there is Check Image.

Thanks for the reply, SIW2. It's just so weird how the backup skips from 65% all the way to finishing. Hmm. The AOMEI Standard has the Check Image function. I ran it and it finished successfully. The very latest version of AOMEI Standard doesn't have the Explore Image function, but I'm using a slightly older version which does.

I really hate the current trend to gradually remove features from free versions, to "force" you to buy paid version.

Quite a few are now trying the subscription method, which I don't like as a rule.
