Issue with USB and Macrium reflect rescue media

I am trying to use some old USB drives for rescue media, but whether it is because they are usb 2.0 or some other reason, two of them so far do not work. When I try to boot to the media, it says "No OS found" or "operating system missing" (I can't remember the exact wording right now).
Is there a size and a formatting style (fat vs NTSC) that is necessary to get this to work?

    Win 10 Home edition.

Try setting up the thumb drive using the instructions below. Note that this assumes a thumb drive of 32GB or smaller. If larger, these instructions need to be slightly modified. Be aware that these commands will wipe all data from the thumb drive.

    Run "diskpart"

Wait for the "DISKPART>" prompt and then run the following commands:

    list disk

After you run the above command you will get a list of all disks. Note the disk number for the thumb drive. Use that number in place of the "x" in the next command below:

    select disk x
    clean
    convert mbr
    create partition primary
    format fs=fat32 quick
    assign
    exit

At this point, try creating the recovery media from Macrium Reflect once again using the media you just prepared.

Let me know if this helps!

Thank you. I'm trying that right now, I will update when' it has completed but it looks like it's doing something whereas it was rather quick before
