Checking my available System Restore Points this morning I found this one:

which is new to me.
A quick look at a recently installed program tells me there may be a relation based on date and time:
Ashampoo PDF Pro 2
The universal PDF editor - create, edit and convert with ease

Google gave me this:

which sent me to my MS account wanting me to sign up for My.VisualStudio.com for unknown reasons.
Likely NBD, but ...
