It's always backup season for me. Macrium Reflect image (x2) for windows, not because if something goes wrong (it did once only) but because it's easier and faster to go back to full working condition and/or change BOOT drive. Programs and data are stored and backed up independently and multiple times as per importance and are incrementally backed up when something important enough is changed/added. Every now and than, I clean up those backups from really obsolete stuff otherwise I would fill up the room with HDDs, DVDs etc. in no time at all. Would not mind couple of these drives though: Largest Hard Drive in the World 12TB

    12TB?
I will skip that one for sure. I even told myself not to use 4TBs as back up drives. I would rather get 6x2TBs than one 12TB. If that one (the 12TB) dies on you, you are done. It will probably take a week to completely scan it for recovery and another week to recover files to another harddrive. Since I started using a computer 15 years ago, my data is probably less than 5TBs to date (because I kill the old ones and burn photos to DVDs and BDs every year).

My thoughts too but it would cut down on number of drives in large data banks.

Agreed. This is probably a good backup solution for office setup with multi-users but too much for home use. At least for my own personal use and preference.

Also too much for average budget too.
