Latest MR update (7.3.5854) broke my DLL links

You wouldn't notice the broken links unless you'd mounted an image and then tried to un-mount it when you were done reviewing it (or, in my case, copying some lost files back to their sources). The context menu for a mounted drive should show a Macrium Reflect entry, and that should give you a fly-out that offers to un-mount the drive. My MR entry was gone after the update, and I had to use this process to get it all back:

    1. Open Command Prompt with admin rights

    2. Type CD "<path to MR folder>" (the quotes are important) <space> regsvr32 <space> RContextMenu.dll <Enter>
    then repeat for RShellEx.dll

It may even have happened with a prior update. I wouldn't know, because I seldom mount my images, but once in a long while I do need to mount one, and it's really important then to have that apparatus for un-mounting the drive on hand.

    Mine was still there....

...but on checking further another addition for Explorer was missing, the optional 'Backup Method' column. I've seen this go AWOL before, and the fix is to download the Reflect installer and reinstall Macrium (no need to unistall it first). Try that, it should fix your problem too.

There is a good deal of chatter on the MR forums about some updates disturbing the status quo. I think your solution is brilliant -- reinstalling, that is -- if it works and brings back your missing feature. If it doesn't, a look at the venerable Nir Sofer's Shell Extensions Viewer might reveal the problem. I've had really good results with this tiny app for years, and recently used it to fix a recalcitrant desktop context menu.

I've had good results with all the Nisoft utilities - a real 'treasure trove'

Yea, verily. I've carried the Nirsoft Shell Extensions, Shell Menus, and Shell New with me wherever I go. Don't leave home without 'em, I say. I used to use NirCommand a lot for a bunch of things, but I find I don't need it at all in W10.
