20H2 How to restore from freefilesync mirror backup

I've been using freefilesync to mirror my users/me (and users/wife) folders and wonder how to restore should I need to. The first thing that occurs to me is to reverse the backup process but I wonder how to go about it. I don't foresee having to do this short of a hard drive/machine crash which would require a clean install of windows 10 on a new computer.

    TIA for all help...

The beauty of FreeFileSync is that it does not use any kind of compression for backups. In case of a disaster all your files are available with a simple copy/paste or drag/drop. Also, are you having FreeFileSync save changed/deleted files and folders. It's amazing how many times I've needed an original copy of a file I've changed.

The thing to watch is some files may be out of sync and the wrong version and if they are system or program files it can mess things up. It depends what you mean by users folder ir docs, photos or things like appdata
