SSD Cloned but won't boot
Greetings,
I am trying to upgrade my laptop SSD into a larger size NVME. After looking up how to do that, I used Macrium Reflect to clone my old SSD into the new one. I then replaced the old SSD with the new, but it did not boot. I checked this forum here and found a common answer was to use the bcdboot command to create boot files in the first parition of the new SSD. I did that and tried again, and checked the UEFI, and it recognized the new NVME as a boot device, but still windows not boot, restarts the laptop and takes me to the repair screen.
I deleted the partitions in my new SSD and tried another cloning software MiniTool Partition Wizard 11. I did not even resize my paritions this time. Again I used the bcdboot command (bcdboot G:\Windows /s E: /f UEFI), and it returned that the boot files were created successfully, but after replacing the SSD and checking again the the UEFI recognized the NVME as a boot device for Windows, the WIndows itslef would not boot and would restart and go to the repair screen.
Here is a screenshot from AOEMI Partition Wizard that I used to change the partition letter to use the bcdboot command
This is my first time posting here so please let me know if I did something wrong or did not provide enough info. Thanks a lot in advance.
