Yes, I was aware of that. I have C: and D: and I keep the "Hide system files" unchecked because I was losing hard drive space and found out that hibernate had gotten activated and now I keep an eye on it - and yes I ran powercfg.exe -h off.

Yea, I probably should have not posted this because I don't think it is a real issue, and like so many things, it could have been a fluke and never happen again.

It is fine to post it. Not sure how it could be a fluke.

Don't know, but maybe Macrium failed to write the Recycle.bin from the image for some reason; it wouldn't be the first software glitch.

When you look at the 'Recycle Bin' in File Explorer, you are actually seeing a composite view, made up from all your $recycle.bin folders across all your drives. When you restore a Macrium image to a partition it only changes that one partition's $recycle.bin, so only the files you deleted on that partition would be changed.

The image was an image of the partition that I restored.
