    Cannot create restore point

I have not noticed anything unusual in my PC (Win 10 Pro 64), but for some reason I can no longer create a restore point. I am a senior, non-techie, and have no idea what this behavior means or how to deal with it. Could someone help, please?

Try the first 3 steps in this link Solved: Can’t Create Restore Point in Windows 10 | 4 Ways.
You do not need Bitdefender, you have Windows Security (Defender) that comes with Windows and provides all the protection you need, it is Free and updates with Windows. Use Bitdefender's Uninstaller to remove it, as it may be causing conflict with System Restore. Then restart the comptuier, see if you can create a System Restore point. We also don't suggest depending on System Restore, as it works until you need it. We suggest you create an Image file of your computer using Macrium Reflect or your favorite Clone software and saving the image on another drive in or external to your computer or Cloud Service.

Hi, could you please post a screenshot (picture) of your error message?

Upload it like this: - you may need to wait a second before the button that appears responds..
    Cannot create restore point-screenshot-.png

System Restore is great- when it works- and a great complement to using disk imaging regularly and routinely.

Is your system creating automatic restore points, but the only issue is you can't manually create a restore point ?

In addition to the advice above, run sfc/scannow for possible corrupt files as indicated in the link in post 2.

Run SFC Command in Windows 10

    Cannot create restore point.

Thanks to pericles, dalchina, and spunk for your replies. I have tried all the fixes suggested as outlined by spunk. I also uninstalled 2 on-demand malware programs (Malwarebytes and Super AntiSpyware) yet I still am unable to create a restore point. Sorry, pericles, I do not know how to check to see if I have any auto restore points, but I know I cannot manually create one. Screenshots are attached.

Hi, I have screen OCR'd your error message for search purposes for you:

There was an unexpected error in the property page: System Restore encountered an error. Please try to run System Restore again. [0x81000203] Please close the property page and try again.

Do you have any particular security software running? Try disabling or deactiving it, or a clean boot (Google or see tutorial if unsure how).

    Then try again.
    If no joy:

Please download and install Macrium Reflect (free) and run the VSS repair utility built in to it:
    Cannot create restore point-1.png

    Then try again.

If no joy, see these search results, noting the VSS repairs will have been addressed by the above.
Fix: There Was an Unexpected Error in the Property Page
System Restore encountered an error code 0x81000203

I have now run the sfc /scannow procedure as well as Macrium's VSS repair. Neither has corrected my problem.

    Scannow log is attached.

    Thank you for your reply.

Please complete points in my post.

If still no success, you may proceed to perform an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data like any upgrade procedure.

You haven't specified your build as prompted by the forum
    Cannot create restore point-win-10-version.png

    - you need an iso file for that of the same maor build as you have now - whatever that be.

Download the iso file (of the correct build- tutorial available)
Rt click it, click Mount (available unless iso association is not default).
Open the new drive letter created
    Double click setup.exe
