Has Macrium Reflect and EaseUS reporting gone mad?

    Hey everyone -

I imaged a system today and noticed that the partition descriptions in Macrium 7.3.5555 were not being properly identified:

Under EaseUS Partition Master 15.5, the partition descriptions are correctly identified:

Also also note the asterisks in EaseUS.

    Bit strange. Why is this?

    TIA

    Hello Compumind,

So help me out. What's the issue with the MR screenshot?

I could find a user manual for the current version Partition Master. I got this from info for an old version.

An asterisk (*) appears in front of a drive letter for:
    1. Hidden partitions
    2. None drive letter partitions. Partitions with file systems not supported by the active operating system
    3. Unallocated space (space not currently assigned to any partition)
    4. A partition's status can be:
    5. Active: The partition the computer boots from.
    6. Hidden: Partitions that do not have a drive letter. Partitions can be hidden by the operating system (which may hide all primary partitions except the active one), or you can hide partitions with EASEUS Partition Master.
    7. None: Partitions that are not active or hidden.

    Looks fine to me.
As posted the asterisks just mean there’s no drive letter assigned in your case.

    Lol.

It's no big deal. Have to manually assign names (descriptors) if possible, to each partition.
I really don't like "no name", "none" and "*" - just a personal thing.

    Thanks to all.
