Acer E 15 Windows cannot find a system image on this computer

My Acer E 15 getting very slow, I used a "Windows 10 Pro Full Version" CD to try to install a clean version of OS on my 1000GB HDD/SSD but didn't go well, touch pad, network adapter ... cannot be detected. I then tried to use "System Image Recovery" to see if I can restore it back to factory reset, but it also failed & said "Windows cannot find a system image on this computer", I thought Acer manufacturer should have built in a system recovery image on the recovery partition, but maybe not. My D2D is "Enabled", please advise what can I do next?

Sounds like you need drivers. Isn't there an image available for download from Acer?

If there is an acer recovery partition+image on the machine, you might need acer prorietary software to recover from it.

That is for a system image that you might have created.

advanced options >reset would be to reset to factory.

If you have just installed win10 from the cd you mentioned, not sure if that reset option would now find the factory image ( assuming there is one)

yes, I clean installed on a PC before with the same "Windows 10 Pro" CD and it worked fine with all drivers needed to run the PC, for this Acer E 15, maybe it needs some of it's own drivers for network adapter, touch pad ..., clean install only installed very limited files & missing a lot of drivers. Please see my attached screenshots for more details, after bootup, my touch pad not working, I cannot move cursor, I can only Alt-F10 to open a command prompt window, it's showing I have 2 drives has windows O/S, one is X:\> , the other is C:\>, my network connection is down, I cannot browse anywhere to download more drivers.

In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)



As dalchina commented a clean install when properly performed installs new default partitions after all partitions are manually deleted.

Alternatives may include:
a) Windows refresh
b) reset save files
c) reset remove files
d) custom install


If there are important files to save then options include:
a) reset save files
b) custom install
c) backing up files followed by clean install


All of the above methods require the reinstallation of drivers and applications.

Hi! DalChina, understand what you said to delete all those pre-existing partitions, but the partition 1 for UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface), I thought it's required and cannot be removed? please confirm if I can remove it, then I will delete all of them and start a clean install again. I realize my Windows 10 Pro CD maybe a bit old, that's fine after I done a good clean install with network adapter driver in place & up, I can download more recent O/S.

I deleted all those pre-existing partitions (attached pics before & after delete) and do a clean install again but still the same no luck. Should I buy a new most recent Windows 10 CD?
