How can I tell easily if Macrium Reflect is currently running a backup

I have Macrium Reflect set up to run backups on a daily schedule. When a backup starts, Macrium pops up a small window that gives me 30 seconds to cancel. Then the popup disappears and the backup runs. Now the only way I have to know if Macrium is running is by checking Task Manager. Monthly full backups take many hours, and I don't want to accidentally shut down the PC in the middle of a backup (I shut down when I'm done for the day). Is there an easy way to tell whether Macrium is running a backup? Maybe an icon in the system tray?

I always see an icon on the taskbar. It even has a progress bar on the icon.
But I always run my backups manually.
Further to the left, I also have a Macrium Reflect icon ON the taskbar.

Maybe if you have a Macrium Reflect icon on the taskbar, you'll get the one with the progress bar, when MR is running.

    Excellent suggestion!

EDIT: I added the icon to the taskbar, but when the scheduled backup runs, it runs in the background so the taskbar icon does not show progress.

Yes, always do your images manually.

If nothing has changed on your PC other than a windows update or 2, I see no point in making a new image.

I make them before any significant changes will be made, and I make sure windows is perfect maintenance wise, before I create a new image.

    Everyone has their own strategy.

I use the predefined schedule grandparent, parent, child. It runs every day. That way, I don't forget.

I use Reflect to backup my user files too so there are changes every day. I use a schedule but do check that backups have been made.

It should be on the Macrium icon - not on the taskbar itself but in the notifications area - when it is running
    Please see screenshot

Ctrl Alt & M will when backup is running automatically show the progress window

That's it! It's one of several Macrium icons. I had tried others, but this one appears while the backup is running and disappears when the backup completes. Thanks!

    Cheers
If you have reflect 7 series
Ctrl Alt and M will open the GUI and show you the progress
    Thanks for the appreciation.
