Restoring Macrium Reflect image

I really need help.
Let me say first that the image I made with MR is about 1.5 yrs old. I see no reason why that should matter.

I opened Macrium Reflect and went to the Restore heading. There I browsed to and selected the image I wanted to restore. This is what I see:


Here I assumed I need to select "Restore image" which I did.

Here is where I am getting confused.


The source is at the top.. I have no idea what the line of images has to do with source.
How do you select the destination??

This next thing drives me NUTS. It says "Copy selected partitions when I click "Next". I am guessing that needs to be Unchecked.

That is where I am stuck right now.

Ghot, I did not actually think you could talk to a human being at any of these places any more.

Just were do I click "Next" to get the ball rolling?

BTW I got an update for Macrium Reflect yesterday and did NOT see any difference.

Regarding your first post:

The "What is this" with red arrow is pointing to the C partition in the image file you made some time ago.

The second "what is this" ("copy selected partitions when I click next") is the standard default and the same thing I see when I go to restore, see below. Leave it checked.

You asked "how do you select the destination"? By default, you are shown your current boot drive as the destination...which appears to be the same drive that was imaged. That's what you'd normally choose unless the drive had gone bad.

If instead you wanted to choose another drive as the destination, you would click on "select a different target disk" across the screen from "destination".

I'm not sure why your first picture shows the 3 grayed out partitions. I am assuming it is because you chose to include ONLY the C partition in your image.

Look at my pic below; I have no grayed out partitions. That is because I deliberately chose to include ALL of my partitions in the image file.

In my pic, if I wanted to restore right now, I'd just click "next" at the bottom of the screen. I assume if you clicked "next", only C would be restored because only C was included in your image.

I really appreciate everyone's input to this problem. My need to restore my C-drive has gone away. I will keep in mind everything you guys have said so if I ever need it, I got it
