Scheduled, local, online disk image backup of windows system disk

I am looking for best solution for scheduled, local, online disk image backup of windows system disk, since backup/recovery will be discontinued in windows10. So MS is proposing a 3. party solution instead.

I have been using easeus for long time, but now I am having critical issues with that SW.

So which SW is recommended to make reliable online image backup of windows system disk to local USB attached disk.
Meaning that if something goes wrong later on, you can restore SSD from latest backup and boot from SSD.

    Details:

I have been using easeus backup for myself and my customers for many years.
However I have now experienced a number of cases where online backup was OK, but the restored backup fails to boot.
Easeus are investigating issue, but so far no solution.

This means that I can not rely on this backup method.

    Scenario:
Setup: Dell optiplex 745 with new Samsung EVO 860 SSD. OS: Windows 7 SP1 or windows 10 20h2.

    1. Made complete online backup of PC.
    2. After this backup was completed OK, I booted PC from easeus USB flash.
    3. I recovered from the easeus .pbd file to the SSD sector by sector. Restored completed OK in some hours.
    4. Then I removed the USB disk and booted from the SSD, but windows can’t repair-

    Peter,

Macrium Reflect is often recommended in this forum for making system images. Other utilities are available but this one is so commonplace that you can get plenty of help for it.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect - TenForumsTutorials
    Macrium Software Macrium Reflect Free
    Macrium USB - TenForums
Macrium Reflect KnowledgeBase - user guide [version-independent link]

It can also make bootable system images. This facility is called viBoot and it requires Win10 Pro.
    Macrium viBoot - Macrium KB
Macrium viBoot - Create Virtual Machine using Macrium Image - TenForumsTutorials

While you're thinking about backups, consider Backup and Restore Device Drivers - TenForumsTutorials as well.

    All the best,

    ...another recommendation for Macrium Reflect.

Scheduling is available in all versions including the free edition...

Scheduling backups - KnowledgeBase v7.2 - Macrium Reflect Knowledgebase

...and the Free licence covers both home and commercial use.

...use Macrium Reflect 7 Free Edition in your business environment

    Thanks a lot Denis.
I think macrium looks like a good alternative to easeus.
I hope it can restore backup to SSD and boot from SSD for all windows versions?

You know who I will recommend, Macrium as above, and yes it has no issues with managing SSD's.

Thanks to all for your advice.
I will try macrium and follow up on easeus to ensure that they solve the critical restore issue I have reported.

    Macrium is the best imo.
There’s free & paid - currently if you purchase Ver 7 you’re entitled to a free update to Ver 8.

One more question here regarding support:
I need to support both my own lab as well as my customers with this macrium solution for backup/restore instead of easeus, which I have been using so far.
If I select home license, I am only covered for one year and support can not be renewed. So I have to use e.g. macrium forum.
However with workstation license (which is much more costly) I can renew support if I need.
My customers will of course use home license, but what license do I need to be able to support my customers?

The license gives you 1 year of support however I’ve contacted then since the support ended & they’ve replied. There’s also the forum where support post.
For customers I’d recommend the free version as this isn’t much difference to the paid version for the home user.
