I think this should be a Macrium 8 only thread since its a new version and lot to learn about it.
The older thread could remain for version 7 and cut down on the confusion.

I have the 30 day trial of Macrium 8 and then back to the free Macrium 7 until Macrium 8 Free comes out in 90 days.
The free version is all I need for my 3 systems.

Now that MR 8 has been released, and there will be some who continue to use MR 7 so maybe a "rename" is in order once again.

    I'm thinking maybe . . .

Macrium Reflect Discussion would do fine Wynona. Then it never needs changing again and keeps it separate from the updates thread.

True, although at some point, I believe that @Kari is going to create a version 8 tutorial/discussion thread. It’s likely that most discussion about version 8 will be there.

I just installed the 30 day trial of Macrium v8.0.5946.
I selected the Dark-Blue theme and it is looking good.
Fonts look fine with my 80 year old eyes.
Made a new Rescue USB stick.
Did a Image backup and all is good.

In 30 days it will revert back to V7 Free.

How did you do get a trial version as it has not been released. Also, it cannot revert to V7 free.

I believe v8.0.5946 has been available for a few days via the download tool...just downloaded it again to check.

On the 'Free' download page the choices currently available are Reflect 7 Free and Reflect 8 Home Trial. The 30-day trial is supposed to revert to v7 Free at the end of the trial, though there have been some indications that may not be working as intended at present, leaving you 'stuck' on v8 Free.

Reflect 7 Free is the best no-cost solution on the market.....

But before you jump straight to the free option, why not check out Reflect 8 Home? Our 30-day trial of Reflect 8 Home is the ideal way to explore what we have to offer with absolutely no risk. If for whatever reason you decide it isn’t right for you, any backups you create during the trial will still be accessible as the software reverts to Reflect 7 Free....

Brief question on @Wynona's concept of this thread becoming a General Macrium Discussion, leaving Cliff's thread for announcements only:

How would it be policed and enforced?

I don't think it would be TC. We don't really have an enforcement policy on the site. It's voluntary really with the occasional I don't think we want to get into arguments about what should go where.

Thanks, Keith. It was, you may have sensed, a rhetorical question.
