Font sizes increased in some areas, not others, after the patch this morning. Least here they did. YMMV

No, that's not the reason. That option will restart Reflect after the patch, if you already had it open. Not restart the PC. I have it ticked on all mine, and they didn't require the OS to restart.
Apologies, I didn't read it carefully enough

I don't have Image Guardian installed and don't use scheduling or CBT (only do full image backups).
It's the first time in ages that MR has required a restart after patching...

I've found an option that when turned on requires an OS restart after the v8.0.5942 patch....

...it was this one (which I usually usually leave turned off).

Nah, I have it checked and didn't need to reboot. I think you have to reboot if CBT is installed. I have that off & Image Guardian on.

Having some fun with MR8 and taking advantage of payed, registered version.
Adjusted automatic backup schedule, one full system disk backup first Monday in a month keeping one backup and deleting previous one. Although marked to clean older one before starting new backup it doesn't clear previous one immediately but only after backup is finished. It also clears/deletes all incremental and differential backups which of course makes sense. Good logic indeed.
Elected to keep last 3 of differential and incremental backups. For starters, I run all 3 backups now and will leave it on auto for now (except if some other occurrence warrants new manual backup). all backup files are also copied to another, external USB connected HDD. That I do manually anyway. Two eggs in two baskets you know !
Still I have no opinion which is more important, incremental or differential so as I have no problem with disk capacity, I elected to do both.
FWIW, I got some great advice from jphughan, a Macrium evangelist (like our gurus) when I first started with Macrium. I switch between 2 external drives, only one of which is plugged in at a time. I do a synthetic full + 7 incrementals. That gives me 2 weeks worth of backups to restore from.

His advice is about best practices is located here if your interested.

Your link is broken, there's a 'J' at the start of the url that shouldn't be there. This one works:

    Thank you!
