Retrieving Group Policy settings from an image

Not sure if this is the right spot or if this should be elsewhere, feel free to move if necessary.

    Running W10 Pro 20H2

I did a clean install yesterday. I thought I had all my previous settings backed up but forgot the group policy ones. Is there a way to retrieve these from a previous image ? If not I'll restore the previous, make note of them then restore back to the new and apply them. No big deal but if it's possible I'd like to avoid that.

Thanks in advance for your assistance folks.

    Hello @OldGuyFromCdn,

I don't know if this will get you started => Backup and Restore Local Group Policy Settings in Windows 10

    I hope this helps.

Okay, that should work Paul. I can restore the previous image, save the group policy settings to an external drive then restore back to the new image and apply them. I'll try that later.

    Thanks, much appreciated.

Once you are done, you could backup the Registry and keep it somewhere safe!
