    Reliable Backup Software with Low Resource Requirement


    Hi All,

    I am looking for a reliable backup application that runs only when I decide to do the backup, and it is completely off otherwise. I have read that backup applications like Acronis use computation resources also when inactive. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance!

    It depends what you mean by backup copying files or full system image for simple file backup built in robocopy is fast and works well for continuse backup of important files onedrive or google sync

    Here is Macrium; 3 processes when idle.

    Look no further than Macrium Reflect Free. Acronis software is poorly engineered and supported and best avoided IMHO.

I've configured Reflect to automatically run full and differential backups to two drives as shown in the enclosed Reflect status report. 111247 The report says the last " full system backup to usb hdd" was run on 14/11/16 and was successful....
