    Macrium Reflect clone Basic Disk to Dynamic Disk


    Hi,
    I would like to know how do I clone a hd with basic partition to a hd with dynamic partition?

    My Macrium Reflect is 7.2 version.

    Offhand, I'm not sure that is possible.

    I'd think that the characteristics of the target drive would be over-written by the source drive...........the target drive would end up in a standard, non-dynamic state.

    Could be wrong about that as I can't recall any prior discussion.

    Why do you need a dynamic disk?

    Hi ignatzatsonic,
    I am trying to make a clone of a notebook hd and keep it on my desktop hd.

    The HD on my desktop is dynamic since I buy the PC, so as the HD on the notebook is Basic I would like to know if I can clone it on the HD partition on my desktop which is dynamic.

    Note: I saw examples of the Macrium cloned from Dynamic to basic on the internet, but I didn't see examples of cloning from basic to dynamic!
