Thanks RolandjS. I am looking hard at Acronis now compared to Macrium and Dell EMC enterprise data protection. We currently have Avamar from Dell and Macrium on workstations. Avamar works great but with our unique situation, it will not comply.

As mentioned before we like Macrium as well. I think Acronis is possibly more capable and a more polished product, but I have no experience to base that on, just my opinion so far.

I would consider Acronis' reliability versus that of Macrium, especially since we are talking critical infrastructure. Macrium is much more reliable (as is Image for Windows) than Acronis. However, that's only my personal experience and there are probably a number of other users here that would agree.

BUT, these personal experience anecdotes may have no relevance compared to how an industrial/utility user would evaluate them.

FWIW I consider Acronis software to be poorly engineered and supported.
