    System Restore Not Working


    I have initiated a system restore to try fix problem with live tiles which suddenly disappeared.

    It's a recent restore point - couple of days. It seems to have hung at "System Restore is restoring the registry" - been stuck there for about 4 hours.

    Is it possible to stop the process and leave it back at the previous version, the one with corrupted tiles? Obviously don't want to brick the laptop.

    I have a USB recovery drive is necessary.

    Win 10 Home win version 1903.

    Often system restore is delated by big system updates as system files are different. You are on old version of Windows

    Yep, but I only download what Windows Update sends. Us there no option to curtail this mess?
