There are ways to delete MR if your having problems ....but you would have to use a bootable USB stick to delete MR ....that would work.

Funny you should say that, Mike! I finally got Macrium uninstalled! Wooooooo Hoooooo!

It looks like it takes half the day to create the restore point instead of a few minutes. This time I just started Revo and walked away. Came back a a little over an hour later, and Revo said I could now finish the job! Whew!

I'll do what you said about the CBT thing in the other message when I reinstall this afternoon. Gotta do the Monday grocery shopping thing; stupid household chores getting in the way of my computer time!

Glad to see Revo finally worked for you in the end ....I turned off Windows restore long time ago.

I just uninstall CBT on one machine. I uninstalled CBT which I understand is different than shutting off. It is my understanding that uninstalling gets the low level components out of system.

So either don't install when you re-install or if already installed, go to Apps, click on Macrium, click on Modify and modify the install., uncheck CBT in install screens that appear.

You should restart system as well.

Thanks, Ken. I haven't reinstalled. We got in late today and I'm just now getting back online. I'll do it in the morning. I'm hoping to just not let CBT install.

Yeah, it's amazing what happens when you give it a few hours to do its thang . . .

I'll deal with System Restore tomorrow.

    G'night.
