New computer: easy way to transfer from old computer?

My daughter has a Surface Tablet 4 and just bought a Surface Tablet 7 both with Windows 10.
Is there an easy way to transfer all her user data, email, programs, etc, to the new computer..?
Or just start copying it all over and installing the programs she uses..?

If you are comfortable with moving your data files manually, you could certainly do that (that's the method I use because I know where all my data files are located), but there are also third-party apps designed specifically for this purpose.

For example, I know that Microsoft themselves actually endorse PCMover as a solution:

It depends on how many programs are involved and how long a manual transfer would take. PC Mover is good- I used it some years ago- and will transfer the programs and user profiles and data if you wish. However, like Easeus Todo PCTrans, its license is for single use.

I found it most convenient to use a disk image (e.g. Macrium Reflect -free) of the old PC as source.

If you are happy with the current installation you could clone its disk and transfer the entire installation to the new PC, and Windows will probably adapt to the new environment- for free- should be comparatively easy if both are UEFI installations.
