How do I automatically create a system restore point daily?
Need step-by-step on this one, please.

But please don't bust a gut about it. Restore points are not known as being reliable [unlike system images].

It's doable, but I'm not sure I'd place much reliance on it nor would I think most people would need a new one every day.
If you don't make backup images and only make restore points you may want to also backup the registry:

System Restore is great - when it succeeds in restoring- as it doesn't affect data. It includes the registry. Registry backups are of limited value in special cases.
Neither are any use whatsoever if your disk or PC fails or is inaccessible- or your PC is stolen.
That's where disk imaging is invaluable- assuming you store your backup disk containing image files securely and separately.
I have a restore point created daily on schedule, and use disk imaging.
To complete the set, if you have fast changing critical data, use a free program providing file synchronisation to a backup location for key files.
These are some additional links for automatic restore points as well as quick manual restore points:

This link was initially posted but I wasn't able to run either the wmic or powershell commands:
Two ways to set up a one-click shortcut for creating a restore point in Windows 10 - TechRepublic
This two step wmic command worked:
wmic.exe
/Namespace:\\root\default Path SystemRestore Call CreateRestorePoint "Startup Restore Point", 100, 7
C:\WINDOWS\system32>wmic.exe
wmic:root\cli>/Namespace:\\root\default Path SystemRestore Call CreateRestorePoint "Startup Restore Point", 100, 7
Execute (SystemRestore)->CreateRestorePoint() (Y/N)?

I recommend my script again: Add Create Restore Point Context Menu in Windows 10
I've never found System Restore very reliable and disabled it. Consider doing a scheduled daily differential / incremental backup instead e.g Macrium Reflect Free (differential only).
100% this ^^^.
Whilst I am a total fan of Macrium Reflect, its one weakness in the Free version is inability to do incremental versions. However AOMEI or VEEAM free versions can do incremental backups. Of course, you can use two backup tools if you want to keep using Reflect (as we all know how reliable it is).

I've tried to set up an automatic system restore point using the method in this post's Title. Tried several times starting from scratch - but can't get it to work. Tried to run it manually and it still didn't work. Attached is a screenshot showing what I see. It always shows that it's running - but that doesn't seem right. I'm thinking that, perhaps, something is wrong with the arguments. In any case, I would really like to get this running. Thank you.
