Windows 10 Pro ver. 1909 (OS build 18.363.959)
Trying to clone my operating system to a new drive I get the following error:
Error 0 unable to match partition Drive 1 start sector 467118080
Result code 0x8004230f
Can anyone help please?
That result code would seem to indicate that is failing due to VSS errors, as in this thread on the Macrium forum....

Thanks guys. I've worked through all the options you have suggested to no avail. Any other possibilities?
I've just tried Driveimage with the same negatie results so it's definitly a VSS problem.

I prefer to use imaging than cloning. You could create an image file of your current system on another drive of choice, install the new drive, boot to the Reflect recovery drive then restore the image to the new drive.
Imaging creates an mrimg file. It's typically saved on an external hard drive, but it could be a second internal. It is usually 20 plus GB in size. Maybe 100 or 200, all depending on the space occupied on the partitions on your system drive.
You'd likely include ALL partitions on the system drive in your image file, but you do have total control of what partitions. You can make an mrimg file with about 8 mouse clicks using Macrium defaults.
You can make an image while booted from the recovery USB stick, but standard practice is to make it while booted from your still functioning system drive.
The recovery drive is typically a USB stick of at least 1 gb size. You boot from this stick, leading you to the Macrium interface. You then tell Macrium to restore the mrimg file to your system drive.
The whole process of making an image and restoring might take a half hour or a couple of hours, depending on size, CPU speed, drive speed, etc. Success rate in the high 90s.

As a rule of thumb, the size of the .mrimg file will generally be about 60-70% of the total used space of the partitions to be included in the image.
