I'm pretty sure that's an acronym for 'USB Flash Drive'. A way of differentiating it from say a USB HDD External Drive that I'm seeing more often in discussions especially with bootable USBs

That's not an acronym I've seen used here before, but there are just too many acronyms around to keep track of them all![]()
Not clear that he has shadowprotect. His post seems to indicate he is following the suggestions at the link and is therefore looking for something ( shadowprotect) that he hasn't got.
I've tried all the options listed in that link. None of them apply to my error code symptoms. The only thing I have not done because I don't know how is to uninstall ShadowProtect which I am unable to find.
Yeah, it was head scratcher last week for me too when @Anibor first mentioned it here:
MCT boot usb
Later, I noticed it's used extensively at this site www.osforensics.com for the UFD image maker utility - imageUSB.
And I can see it's value in clearing up discussions regarding the generic term 'USB drive' especially when used to boot.
Does AOMEI Backupper NOT use VSS?

Correct, I cannot find ShadowProtect at all anywhere.

OK, at last some progress. I booted from a Macrium Recovery USB and imaged my OS drive to another hard drive. Now I want to copy it to my new, larger OS drive. Do I just restore it to the new drive and will that make it bootable or is there something more too it?

Install the new drive - it's good practice to leave that and the drive containing the Reflect image the only drives connected. Then boot to the Reflect recovery drive and restore the image to the new drive. At the next boot, ensure the new drive is the first boot drive in the BIOS and it should boot and work. You can then reconnect all drives.
