Macrium Reflect Verify Time?
I am still new to MR, I just did a backup and it took about 15 minutes. I set it to verify the backup when finished and it has now been about 1 and a half hours doing the verify. Is this normal? Thanks

In my case, an image file of about 22 GB takes about 4 minutes to make and less than 30 seconds to verify.
Your speed will be highly correlated to image file sizes, processor speed, and disk speed, but I'd expect verification time to be well under half the make time barring something unusual going on.
Is this a "full image"? What size and what CPU?

37 GB should mean that the partitions included should have somewhere circa 70 to 100 GB occupied space.
Something odd is going on if your verification time is longer than time required to make the image. Never heard of that issue.
Do you have an antique CPU?
Did prior images also require a long verification time?

About 65 occupied in C. That sounds OK for a 37 GB image file.
Is the image file on E? If it's an external, the USB port may be somehow slowing down verification. I dunno as my backups are saved on an internal.
A dual core CPU, not a powerhouse.
The slow speed may not mean anything.
Verification certainly does NOT mean you will have a successful restore. It just means the file is readable and not corrupted.

1) Do you have that Passport drive on a USB2 or USB3 port?
2) Did you make a folder on the Passport just for your images, or are you writing straight to E:?
3) When did you last defrag the Passport?
I realize all my questions seem to be geared toward slow write speed, but they can also have a big impact on reading for verification. I do agree with all comments above that the time you have quoted for a verify vs the 15 minutes to write is really very unusual. It is generally just slightly less than the write time. If imaging to an SSD, the verify can be quite fast in comparison. The 450 Mb/s is not out of line. It does sound, though, that the imaging is happening with Direct I/O to the Passport, instead of using System Cache. It may not be capable of using System Cache, or it was determined by MR to be slower.

You talked about doing the image to the SSD harddrive. Can I do that and then copy it to the Passport?
