Hi
is this shortcut different from others then ?, because I normally can do this....
thanks
Since it's a shortcut of a .vbs file it doesn't have "Pin to Start" by default.
If you like, you can open the Properties for the shortcut, and add explorer to the front like below to have "Pin to Start" available as a workaround. :)
explorer "%ProgramFiles%\Restore Point Message Shortcut\CreateRP-Success_Message.vbs"
Thank you! I asked for this in a post about System Restore not creating a restore point prior to updates. Now I can have one created daily, and not worry about something getting messed up. I wonder why Microsoft decided Windows 10 doesn't need restore points anymore? I had to use one after an update last week. Luckily I manually created one a day earlier.
EDIT - So reading the link at: "Windows automatically creates restore points just before significant system events, such as the installation of desktop apps and new Windows Updates, if the last restore point is older than seven days if no other restore points were created in the previous seven days." Is this why? Because I created one myself a day prior? I thought Windows created one no matter what before every update?
