    Backup My Applications?

After two year of Feature Update failures and struggles with OOBE, I finally managed a clean install of W10 1909 from .iso. My files are in OneDrive and Dropbox, but reinstalling all my applications is a pain. Is there any way to backup just my applications, not Windows itself, as next time I have to install a Feature Update I’ll probably have to do a clean install from .iso again.

    No

Clean install not necessary. Image using Macrium Reflect.

FreeBooter: Is it possible to use PCMover to move installed programs from an internal SSD to a SSD in a Dock. It is a 2 bay dock.
I was considering replacing my current Samsung 850 (250)purchased in 2015 to a current SSD model, Clean Install the 2004 Win10 .
The user folders have been redirected to drive E (Documents,Pictures, etc) Only AppData remains on the system C Drive. Approx. 65gb is used on the 250 SSD.
Reinstalling the programs has been the downside but this Laplink software appears like it would be worth the purchase. I couldn't find words specific to moving to a new drive. The descriptions were for pc to pc.
What would be your opinion of this action?

I have used it in the past- several years ago.. 95% success for several hundred installed progs.

Don't use it to transfer large progs like MS Office or security software- reinstall those manually.

But for most people it's a 1 use license- not too expensive. Licensing Options

Note that using a disk image as a source is preferable to the older method of new PC/old PC/new PC to transfer progs.
Often transferring a complete Win 10 installation from one PC to another works even though drivers are different.

I'm unsure if it's possible to use it to transfer between the SAME builds - worth checking. The Home version

Easeus Todo PCTrans offers something similar.

I interpreted that if Win10 1909 was on the original SSD and a new SSD sitting in a dock has 2004 Win10 then its ' almost' like another PC.
Their site is more directed towards describing two pcs. They need to think about the upgrading that goes on now.
One use only is a bit off the wall so I had better just get into the mode of reinstall<grin>

    You could clone and upgrade..

And as I mentioned, last I did this I used a disk image of the source PC as source for the program.
That might have been with Easeus's.

Just backup all the system partitions and other partitions containing data if you have any using the excellent Macrium Reflect Free. You can restore a working PC in about 15 minutes.
