    You are welcome.

We also have a good tutorial written by Kari on Macrium setup. For reference if needed.

Hi Pentris, I've been using Macrium Reflect Free for a couple of years now. I like it a lot. It's easy and it hasn't ever failed me. I used to verify the image, but I never had a problem, so I just quit verifying it. I don't make clones. I make images of the system's partitions. I do this twice a month. Just before patch Tuesday and one at the end of the month just before cu's. I use two flash drives, both are partitioned with fat32 (1gig) at the beginning of the usb and ntfs partition for the rest. I download the bootable rescue media on the fat32 partition and then the mrimage on the ntfs partition. I've got a Dell, so if I want to replace the c: drive, I reboot and when the dell logo comes up I press f12 to take me to one time boot. I select the flashdrive and it boots the system to the Macrium Reflect screen. I've had to do it a couple to times over the past couple of years. It worked perfectly. Just adding my two cents.

Thank you all for your comments. When it worked well it always gave me a reliable restore. Time to move on and decide on staying with EaseUS, which has very good support from China, or change to Macrium Reflect.

I first used Microsoft's system imaging to make an image of my Windows 7 PC before taking the free upgrade to Windows 10 in 2015. I then continued to use it for many years. Yes, when it restores it is reliable. Where it isn't reliable is in detecting an image that could be restored. Just when you need it the most it says it cannot find an image to restore, though you can see very well that there is one it should be able to use!

I switched to using Macrium Reflect Free when MS broke their own system imaging in the 32-bit version of 1803. MS never fixed it in 1803, but it worked again in 1809.

I do a lot of imaging and restores (see my test machine, System Two in my specs below). Macrium has been 100% reliable for me.
