    Macrium Reflect

    4-26-2020
    Stats: Windows 10 pro 64-bit
    V. 1909 (os build 18363.778)
    2 Kingston SSDs
    Slim Backup Plus
    GoogleChrome

    More fun with Macrium Reflect.
Either I am unable to upload the Macrium
Image or I have sent many duplicates - sorry.
I see no button to start the backup.
Would it start without me telling it to?
I am unable by clicking a button to clear the
    screen of Macrium Reflect.
I would like to name the version that I am
    backing up. (EX: 04-26-2020-Jack).
I have the habit of creating a son, father &
grandfather version of the backups and the
    dates help me do that.
    Thanks for any help.

I've never had it start without asking.

You open the application and choose backup (or restore) from a specific menu---after booting from your still functioning hard drive or from Macrium rescue media previously created from Macrium menus.

You can rename the file if you want, but I've never done that--figuring it's better to accept defaults and figuring out dates either by date-naming a folder or by relying on file properties for a date, via a right-click.

If you’ve set it to backup at a certain time every day or so then it’ll show a popup a few seconds before running, if you miss this then it will run automatically.
once you’ve set up the backup then you shouldn’t rename it according to Macrium.
To run a backup manually you need to open the backup tab within Macrium & then right click on the specific backup.xml file & choose run, it’ll then ask you whether to run Full, Differential or Incremental (incremental only available in the paid version).

2nd attempt at backing up MR

    4-27-2020
    Stats: Windows 10 pro 64-bit
    V. 1909 (os build 18363.778)
    2 Kingston SSDs
    Slim Backup Plus
    GoogleChrome
    Free home V. of MR

I do my backups manually - no scheduling.
I am unable to attach an image to this message.
Done a lot of imaging on other sites with no
problems. The program just hangs when I click
on "BACKUP". I have to log off to get MR to stop.
I have no idea what's at the bottom of the backup
window as it is stuck in 1 position.
Maybe I need to delete MR and start over??
Guess it's something about my setup that MR
    doesn't like.
    Thanks for any help.

I would uninstall Macrium using Revo uninstaller free:
Revo Uninstaller Free - Remove unwanted programs easily
Also which version of Macrium Reflect are you running? Perhaps it’s out of date.

It seemed to work. I could see the bottom of the
window and was able to complete the task. Must
have been a sizing of the screen conflict.
To my utter amazement the file name on my
    external hard drive was "bu-04-27-2020-jack".
I did not enter this but it is just what I want.
Will not know for sure until I do another backup
    next week.
    Thank you
