Successfully made the rescue media with the above instructions, problem now solved!!, and later on will get my macrium image done for this week, and should be all set.

*External drive working great in original enclosure, not sure what was with the 3.1 Enclosure, but swapped the drives between the enclosures, and 8tb working fine in the older 3.0 enclosure) and 2tb Toshiba in 3.1 Enclosure seems to be working fine also, no strange disconnections at least**

Excuse me for chiming in at the end of this thread, but I may be able to offer an explanation. It could be related to the power delivery capabilities of the drive enclosures. I, for example, had a dual drive dock that worked fine with 2 4TB Toshiba drives. It also worked with 1x4 & 1x8 TB. But as soon as I tried 2x8 TB in that enclosure the drives started failing intermittently, primarily when both drives were being accessed. By hook and by crook I was able to figure out it was straining (and exceeding) the capabilities of the AC/DC converter and power delivery capability of its teeny-tiny "brick."

I recommend also making DVD boots, because now and then, for some reason, during a restore attempt, a USB boot just won't - boot. Hence right after getting MR7 updates, I usually make one DVD boot and two USB boots. And normally test boot them before any restore is called for.

I'll have to get some Writeable DVD Discs then, though Laptop doesn't have a DVD Drive at all, but the 2 Desktops do have Writer drives. But will get discs asap here

Tested the Flash drive on Laptop thus far, booted just fine, updating Desktops usb flash drive later on, and testing that, and doing this months full image, then diffential probably next week i think,

just purchased Macrium Reflect Home 4 Pack like yesterday, so will have to get used to having diffential method, plus full image method and incremental method

The free version has always had differential backups.

With license versions, you gain incremental ability, macrium forum read (reading is free)/write ability for pay-fors only. I don't remember if free version includes CBT(?) and/or Image Guardian.
