Please read my post again. That was the answer directed to @cereberus when he suggested to use easyBCD and my answer to him was, easy BCD will not work with UEFI and if he wants to use his way then use easy UEFI. Got nothing to do with my post #9 above.
You are wrong. Easybcd works fine with UEFI - I use it all the time. It give a warning but never seems to affect anything.

To me, there are issues with using either Bootice and EasyBCD ( I will not get into that debate) as the end result is that the OP can mark this as solved...

Forgot to mark as Solved, thanks for the reminder. Simplest and (to me) safest way is the batch file method.

Note: Topgun's, Kari's and My Batch Files all do the same exact thing....................
They all run the bcdedit commands in a Batch file to complete the exact same task
Indeed they do and as you said, no messing with setting a partition Active since this is a UEFI system.

Now, $64 question. If I convert the disk from GPT back to MBR will this still work? No reason to do this, would just like to know. I believe the answer is no but thought I'd ask.

I was under the first impression that the Disk was GPT
and when everything failed you converted Dsik to MBR
Or at that is what I thought you had posted...

the $64 answer is yes. it is possable
the Disk Structure makes no difference as to booting ramdisk -
BUT it may require changes in your BCD entries...

I'll hold off on that for a future project.

    Thanks you.
