No harm in using bootice to check as you suggest.

I would also suggest Ztruker starts with a fresh bcd store - it could be full of crud after all this mucking around.

Sometimes the boot files don't get written to the disk and the active partition as they should. I discovered that recently when I was having issues getting Macrium and Win10XPE to boot from their own partitions. When I inspected and corrected the boot files (using Bootice) on their respective disks/partitions they booted right up. It might have been that setting the partition as Active didn't properly update the partition boot record.

You are using the Macrium Rescue Media x64 ISO - correct ???

Note: Topgun's, Kari's and My Batch Files all do the same exact thing....................
They all run the bcdedit commands in a Batch file to complete the exact same task

With a UEFI setup you would usually NOT have partition Q set as active
When I build the ISO, Macrium says X64 but DISM says X86:

    C:\Users\ztruk>dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:R:\sources\boot.wim

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.18362.1

    Details for image : R:\sources\boot.wim

    Index : 1
Name : Microsoft Windows PE (x86)
Description : Microsoft Windows PE (x86)
    Size : 1,158,861,869 bytes

I need to go back and figure out how to get X64.

    This is what Macrium says:

Add Macrium reflect to W10 boot menu - all disks GPT-image.png

Should I be using Windows RE instead of PE?

Just rebuilt the ISO with RE, will see what that does.

Edit: That did the trick. Booted fine and Macrium works perfectly. I don't understand why this happens as I've used the WinPE version on my Macrium Rescue USB flash drive for years. Just doesn't work from a boot menu entry.

Add Macrium reflect to W10 boot menu - all disks GPT-image.png

At this point I'm curious why but happy it works.

Thank you everyone for you help and patience. I'm shickled titless that this is working now.

Since all is now working, is this still necessary? If so, how do I go about doing so?

Edit: Is this what I need to do:

    From Win 10 install USB

    bootrec /rebuildbcd

Will list windows installations then ask if you want them added to boot list, one at a time.
    Reply Y

    bootrec /fixmbr
    bootrec /fixboot

If everything is working, leave it as it is.

You mentioned both EasyBCD and EasyUEFI in your post. I commented on that. Especially the part "Easy UEFI is the one to use".

Please read my post again. That was the answer directed to @cereberus when he suggested to use easyBCD and my answer to him was, easy BCD will not work with UEFI and if he wants to use his way then use easy UEFI. Got nothing to do with my post #9 above.

I should have remembered, that you are one of those annoying "I told it first" members. I have now put you to my ignore list, so I don't have to read your posts any more.

    Thanks for your feedback.
