I have two computers running Windows 10 x 64 Build 1909:
- Desktop
- MacBook Bootcamp
The desktop is imaged using Macrium, with rescue media on a bootable USB thumbdrive.
I also want to image the Windows 10 installation on the MacBook using Macrium, but would ideally like to use the same rescue USB thumbdrive.
Is this possible? What is the best method to achieve this?
Yes - I should have mentioned that both computers already have a Windows Boot Menu option created. The USB Rescue media is the backup if one of the SSD's fail.
Yes - I use a defintion .xml file stored on the desktop to run the imaging.Also you do not need to boot from Rescued Drive to make images.

Ahhh...hold on a minutes, if I write a separate rescue .iso for each PC, I could use YUMI to create a multiboot USB. I forgot about doing something like that in Windows 7 a few years ago

IMO, a better solution is to export drivers from mounted isos using dism commands and then simply adding drivers to one of usb drives using Reflects advanced features.Ahhh...hold on a minutes, if I write a separate rescue .iso for each PC, I could use YUMI to create a multiboot USB. I forgot about doing something like that in Windows 7 a few years ago

Anyway, I would just try first iso on other pcs - strong chance it will just work.

If you create the "Bootable media" from within Windows VM (or the BOOTCAMP Windows machine) then any necessary drivers will be installed AUTOMATICALLY on the bootable media device. (Including the Free version). This will also work properly on restoring standard Windows images too -- all the standard Windows drivers are included in any case as well.
So you only need ONE bootable copy of the Macrium software for all your restores etc.
For example I have created a bootable macrium iso (since copied to USB) from running WITHIN a QEMU/KVM Virtual machine running on a Linux host (arch Linux) which also has the red hat win-virtio disk, video and ethernet drivers --- . At restore time the macrium product uses the appropriate HDD driver(s) to get the HDD to restore to whether it's my Virtual Machine or a real machine using standard Disk I/O drivers (AHCI etc etc).
Excellent product all ways round -- Macrium to be recommended.
Here's a Windows VM with the Red Hat virtio drivers -- Macrium has no problems whatsoever restoring.
So make a bootable media from within the BOOTCAMP VM Or the OS -- not quite sure how BOOTCAMP works --doesn't matter if it's a VM or running effectively as an OS on a Real Mac machine. --then it should have all the special I/O drivers etc in addition to the bog standard Windows one --- then problem solved -- that restore will also restore "Bog standard" Windows images as well as the Bootcamp ones.

I've tested this now quite extensively, at least for me it works perfectly.
What I did was to create a Macrium Rescue ISO on one machine. I then downloaded all storage and network drivers on all other machines on which I want to use the same Rescue ISO, and copied these drivers to a folder DRIVERS on the same machine where the original ISO is located.
When ready, I had drivers from several machines in this folder.
Now it was easy. I mounted the Macrium Rescue ISO, and copied all its contents to a folder MacriumRE_Files. I then checked the boot.wim, that it really was OK (#1 in next screenshot), mounted the boot.wim (#2), and added all drivers from folder DRIVERS to it (#3).

When done I unmounted the boot.wim, committing (saving) the changes, and made a bootable USB from the files in MacriumRE_Files folder.
Done. I had now a Macrium Rescue USB device, with all required network and storage drivers for multiple computers.

Just remember, the tutorial tells to mount the install.wim file. In case of WinRE or WinPE media, you must mount the boot.wim instead.

I have 3 Reflect USB drives for one desktop and two laptop PCs having different hardware configurations. I tried booting each PC with the two USB drives created for the other PCs and it worked every time. I suggest you experiment and see if that works for you.
