    I need to move my outlook profiles (I have 5)


    I am returning a dell xps with windows 10 and outlook. Need to move my outlook profiles, emails from one to the next. I have 5 email accounts on outlook. what is the best way to do this? thanks, yvonne

    Well if they are POP accounts then your PST folder just need to copy or move to your new location or back up disk. If Imap then your files on a server somewhere all you need to do is to set them up on your new computer and they will auto download Account will have to be reset up again on your new computer Then in settings you point to your PST or OST files. I haven't done this with .ost files since they will probably want to re-down load anyway. pst files will hold all your data/email and files setup.

    thank you but I am ashamed to admit I didn't understand any of that. do you have any step by step directions I can follow?

    I'm sorry I thought I have given you the path to the .PST and .OST files. "C:\users/your user name/Appdata/Local/Microsoft/Outlook" you'll find both types of data files at that location They will look like this email address@xxx.com.ost the pst file will look like outlook.pst Copy these files and paste them in the same location on your new computer. While setting up your email addresses on your new computer point the data file to the correct .ost or pst.
