Recovery Partition Upgraded when Upgrading from Win7? Or just delete.

Two questions:

1. My Lenovo T520 had some type of recovery partition on Windows 7 pro when I bought it as a refurbished from IBM. Not original OEM. Never had need to use it. When Windows 7 is upgraded to Windows 10, does the recovery partition also get upgraded?

2. If I make a recovery USB boot stick or CD/DVD using AOMEI or perhaps Windows 10, is there any reason to not delete the recovery partition? Would save me about 10Gb on 256Gb Win10 drive and 256Gb Win 7 partition on second drive.

You can delete it as it will be very old and way out of date and if you used it there may be 1,000's of updates

When Windows is upgraded additional recovery partitions can be created where computers may have multiple recovery partitions.
Typical default recovery partitions are < 1 GB.
Computers can have all recovery partitions manually deleted.
