OneDrive - copying a folder without syncing it back

    Hi there,

I want to back up my folders from my D: drive to OneDrive. I have copied (drag&drop) my files from D: to OneDrive, but OneDrive is now syncing my newly copied folders back to my C: drive (C:\Users\myname\onedrive). In other words, it has created a third copy of my files, one on D:, one on OneDrive and one on C:. I only want to have them od D: and OneDrive, I haven't got much space on C:.

    Thanks

Go to OneDrive Settings/Account/Choose Folders, and deselect/uncheck the folders that represent files copied from the D: drive to OneDrive. Hope this helps.

Partly, because if I unchecked them, they disappear from C:\Users\myname\onedrive and I can't copy anything into them. I found a solution, I created a folder "upload" which is synced, then I copied the files into it. After they are synced with the app I moved the content of this folder to another one that is not synced, but I had to do it using web-gui at onedrive.live.com

After moving the files I have to empty the recycle bin each time that I do the moving, because if not, the files are still taking space on my drive.
