I checked about an hour ago and there was a Scheduled Restore Point on my C: drive. Just checked again and it's gone, and my PC did not sleep in the interim. Totally bizarre.

What build version of Windows are you running? You just say Windows 10 Pro.

Yeah, we have the same versions. I'm going to see what my test restore point does before proceeding. At that time I may wind up posting my system files to the BSOD team as suggest in post #4 for screening.

Oh, and I suggest you go through this thread in case something jumps out at you as to why your issue exists.

    Until then...

Did anyone find a workable solution for this. My restore points are empty again. This has only happened since v1909.

Actually there have been reports of this prior to 1909, but yeah, for me as well, since 1909.

Anyway, I'm still investigating, but I can report that my last manually created Restore Point lasted exactly five days before being deleted. That this is pretty much consistent with any restore point created - lasts five days before deletion.

That said, I've moved this to low priority since I only use restore points to test driver / software updates so five days is plenty enough time for me. Plus I've already got backups running.

Okay. Maybe that info only applies to Windows 7 and older.

A shot in the dark here:

    Based on this fix info

Open an elevated command prompt and type

    winmgmt /verifyrepository

You should see this if there's no problem:
