    Macrium Recovery 'Drive'?

Opening Win 10 Pro's File Explorer at the 'This PC' level I see an unexpected entry 'Macrium Reflect Image'. As well as File Explorer it's also displayed by other tools such as TreeSize.

I assume this arises from tentatively trying the first steps of the restore process (as discussed in the parallel thread) and browsing the last full image I made?

It's obviously not one of my seven physical drives, shown in Disk Management:

Is this 'M:' a 'virtual drive'? What storage is actually being used for it? Would it get deleted if I 'explore' another image?

Did you mount (and thus be able to explore) one of your MR image files?

    Note the bottom option:

    - you could search or browse the extensive help file.. or see this on line:

Just right click it in Explorer, click Macrium Reflect in Context menu, Unmount.

Thanks both. I must have used the FE right-click menu to Explore the image. I didn't realise that it would create a new drive. Have now unmounted it by using the same context menu.

Cool. Not sure that it really uses any space on your computer. I know when I mount one from my NAS it is there instantly and some image are over 150GB's.

    Glad you got it sorted.
