    Cloning a hdd to ssd


    1t to 250 gig ssd using MiniTool Partition Free. Very little on the hdd and I never even fill up a 128g ssd !!

    Anything I have to be aware of ?

    If the HDD is GPT, then make sure to convert the SSD to GPT before copying the partitions over. Resize your C: drive partition to fit the smaller SSD when you select it to copy.

    If you are going to have both drives connected internally, then make sure to change your UEFI or BIOS settings to boot from the SSD first in the priority list - after you copy over the partitions.
