So Mike I was able to fix it
I needed to turn off Cloudflare WARP and the installed stub then was able to download and inplace upgrade(the apps own updater still didn't work).
During reinstall I also needed to give Defenders Controlled Folder Access permission.

After repair install the update now gives me this

When I turn Cloudflare WARP back on, I get this:

So the problem is, Macrium's servers or updater don't like Cloudflare WARP(do not confuse it with 1.1.1.1, they're two different products) I use it on all my PCs and my Android phone.

    WARP connection settings:
DNS WARP and 1.1.1.1 block malware, actually
    • 1.1.1.2
    • 1.0.0.2

Ok Cliff, glad you fixed it, I don't use those apps on my rig.

The thing is, the problem is Macrium's fault, because the updater worked on Version 7 still, the problem started when version 8 was installed.
If you are in their forums can you direct them to my post, or inform them please?

I had to uninstall Cloudflare Warp for another issue awhile back, Cliff. Can't remember what it was, though.

I just checked (Windows 10) and I have the the latest version.

So, it may not be totally Macrium's fault.

BTW, I don't have Macrium installed on 11, since I can back up both partitions.

After my Macrium Reflect Home free trial period ended on 16th November it did not revert to the MR Free version. I tried clicking on buttons to use the Free version but they did not work so was forced to uninstall it and download and install the Free version and set it all up again.

Seems that Macrium don't want to make it too easy to switch from the Home version to the Free version even though they say that it will revert to the Free version after the trial has ended.

    Caveat emptor.

What did it do if not reverted to Free? Did it just stop working? Do nothing? First I've heard of this behavior.
